![]() ![]() There are smaller 1/8" & 1/4" NPT IAT/MAT sensors available, if 3/8" NPT is too fat for wherever you're installing it. The Standard Motor Products AX1 is the same Holley 3/8" NPT threaded IAT/MAT sensor. The MAT/IAT sensor harness is usually long enough for either application. It's not an EFI software setting change, it's a sensor installation location change. Im trynig to wire my standalone ECU and am trying to figure out which wire goes where exactly. It's programmed in the Holley EFI software (MAT/IAT Sensor in Sensors ICF, and Air Temperature Enrichment % table in Fuel ICF). The MAT & IAT sensor perform the same task in terms of aftermarket EFI systems. It's the same sensor that can be used two different ways. There is coolant behind the sensor, so you may want to drain some from the radiator before you remove it. An IAT sensor is installed & measures the air intake tube temperature. Unplug the harness connector from the sensor, and verify that it has the same number of wires as the new one you bought. A MAT sensor is installed & measures the intake plenum or an intake runner temperature. Uses same quality connector, terminals, and seals as the factory wiring. ![]() Use of 2 wire temperature sensors is highly recommended. That depends if you want a MAT (Manifold Air Temp) sensor or an IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor. LS1 Coolant Temperature Temp Sensor CTS Connector Harness 3 Wire Fits GM. The output transistor of IC1 has its collector at pin 1 and its emitter at pin 2. Plug the Water Temperature Harness into the back of the gauge. The frequency therefore ranges from 8.8 kHz (at 30 ☌) to 15.7 kHz (at +150 ☌). May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.
